Grammer School

I want to get into Grammer School. Is there any good wensites to learn from other than Bitesize?

I go to a grammar school and seriously theres no point trying..
Loads of people got tutouring as the test isnt just like maths, english, science like SATs etc.
Its verbal reasoning and puzzles and stuff.
And if you need help passing the test to get through then theres no point anyway because you wont be able to keep up with the work.
If i was you i'd do what i did and not get any extra help, then if you get into the school you'll know that you're clever and can keep up, rather than doing extra to pass the test then finding yourself behind.

A grammar school is grades K- 5 or 6
A comprehensive school is usually in the British school system, and usually refers to secondary or high school levle. Also, comprehensive schools do not limit their students based upon IQ, income etc. Many countries consider them to be "neighborhood schools." In some countries comprehensive schools are 1-9 ( Finland)

The children who are in local school and who are in grammar school, how the grade differentiates?

a module base GCSE i.e Maths means you take more than one (usually 3-6 depeding on the subject) mini exam. the fist mini exam might be after christmas january and the last exam may/june. each exam is given a grade A*-D Iif it is a higher paper and C-G if foundation. The grades are added and given an average. Grammar schools do the same thing i think.

I know that grammar and comprehensive schools are between 7 and 11 years. and sixth form is at either college or high school school. but what is the main difference between all these. why are they called so ?

In the British School system, 6th form (also known as A - Levels) takes place when I student is 17 and 18 (respectively). It would be sort of like an equivalent of the American 11th and 12th grade, expect that the areas of study of very defined and exact. Throughout O - Levels (think middle school and high school in American system) students take all the school subjects, but by the last year of O-Levels (5th form) a student must study for his GCSE's and he/she will pick a few areas of study to learn in particular. I personally went for Enlgish, History and Music... which meant I did not have to pursue science and math as they were not my area of study. Then when you start A-Levels (6th form) you really Really study your chosen area of study in depth to prepare for University level study.

The sixth form (or Key Stage 5), in the English, Welsh and Northern Irish education systems, Commonwealth West Indian countries such as Barbados, Belize, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, and Malta is the final (optional) two years of secondary schooling when students are sixteen to eighteen years of age and normally prepare for their A-level examinations. The term is used to describe the final two years spent in a secondary school as opposed to a sixth form college (UK use) where students start at age sixteen after leaving secondary school.

I already have an A* in one of the 5 subjects i have picked to do at AS and am predicted A*/A in the rest. I was thinking of applying to a grammar school sixth form, and was thinking what kind of grades do i need? When do you usually hear from them regarding interviews if you send off the application form in November? Also, how do you impress at an interview? What kind of questions do they ask?
