No. The cast from the movie will be busy shooting High School Musical 3, scheduled to release to US movie theaters this summer. They will then be busy doing a press tour to promote the film.
I've recently been cast as Kratnoff in our community theater's production of High School Musical. I have seen two plays of HSM already and they varied greatly. One didn't have Kratnoff and one did, I think. The only description I've gotten is he is both a brainiac and thespian. Can anyone give me a better description and what he actually does in the play? Thanks.
I played Kratnoff, too, in our school production. Kratnoff basically is just a Brainiac in the chorous. However, Kratnoff also has minor solos in "We're Counting on You" and "Stick to the Status Quo". These are just speaking solos, though. Kratnoff only sings with the chorus. Krat is a character who does NOT want characters like Gabriella and Martha to break the mold of the status quo. That's pretty much it! It's a fun character. Hope you enjoy!

“Emma” is a timeless and charming love story about a matchmaker whose lack of romantic experience eventually makes her unsuitable to handle the situations that arise. Tony Award-nominated composer Paul Gordon (“Jane Eyre,” “Daddy Long Legs”) created the book, lyrics and music for this adaptation.
Said director and Tony Award-nominee Jeff Calhoun of the production, “Paul has a gift for creating just the right music for his shows and he captures the feel of the era of “Emma” without making it feel old-fashioned.”
Gordon’s musical score was one of the reasons Calhoun felt this play was right for him to direct. That and the fact that Lou Spisto brought Gordon and Calhoun together when he decided to produce Emma at The Globe.
“The beautiful score was a big enticement, but it was also a chance to do something different,” Calhoun said. “I’ve never done a show like this, especially something Jane Austen-based, but it’s been fun to dive into a new world.”
