i'm in the musical theatre program at my school, and we are coming toward the end of our current production of Beauty and the Beast.
However, the Director wants suggestions for a good musical next year.
I have no idea. any suggestions?
the requirements:
1. good ensemble pieces
2. at least 4 or 5 lead parts
3. good draw [gets people to come to the show]
4. good dance break moments in the music.

I have never watched the show but me nieces are IN LOVE with the show! They are coming here to AZ in June and I want to buy tickets and take them but I was just wondering if all the same people they see on TV will be there. And I know my older niece loves one of the boys. Is there a guy named Zach Efron in High School Musical?? And if so will he be there? If anyone has gone any input is much appreciated Thanks :)

I'm auditioning at a new local dinner theatre's upcoming production of High school musical. i think i have a pretty good chance because i'm a high schooler and not very many people know about it, but i'm not sure what song i should sing for the audition?

Short answer: yes. I work for a large costume rental company, and we have several "Drowsy" shows going out to high schools this fall. Long answer: if you have a very conservative high school, some parents might object to the "drowsy" chaperone (the "drowsy" means she's been drinking, though she doesn't drink onstage) and the love interest stuff (although they all get married at the end!)

The Alhambra was built by Jacksonville businessman Leon Simon in 1967 and purchased by Tod Booth, Sr. in 1984. Booth moved to Jacksonville from Chicago, where he worked as artistic director for the Drury Lane Theaters. His family has frequently been involved, with daughter Jessica Booth and wife Lisa Valdini appearing in a number of shows and son Tod Jr. contributing in various aspects, including acting, directing and stage managing of the dinner theatre before becoming general manager and director of the Alhambra’s Children’s Theatre.
