Does anyone know anything about London School of Commerce. What are career prospects? Its ratings and rankings?

I want to do an MBA, i was offered admission by the London school of Commerce to do an MBA and was also offered admission by Coventry to do MSC Finance. What are the overall ratings of London School of Commerce, is the school reputable? Will i get a good job after i finish the course?Which is better?

London School of Commerce is not a University but its a college which offers degrees of University of Wales Institute Cardiff whereas Coventry University itself is a University. London School of Commerce has a smaller campus whereas Coventry University has a very large campus compared LSC. As far as job prospects are concerned I think both the degrees are well recognized but London School of Commerce has the advantage of being in London but still Coventry is also not far from London. By the way I also have got an offer for MSc Finance from Coventry for Jan 2008 and hopefully I will be pursuing that. If it were me I would never do MBA from London School of Commerce but would have gone to a University itself and not a college but this I am talking about myself.

Anyone knows anything about london school of commerce?

The London School of Commerce (LSC) and the School of Technology & Management (STM), a division of the London School of Commerce, were set up with the primary aim of offering students a quality education at cost-effective prices.

An average price of £10,950 for a two-year business or information technology accelerated undergraduate degree means that students not only save on tuition fees, but also the cost of living expenses of one year in London. Value-added courses are offered to IT degree students during their course of study so that they can opt to take a professional course in Cisco, Oracle or Java.

The Schools have more than 3000 students studying on undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in business, management and information technology. The unique, multinational environment will set students apart when considering future career prospects.

LSC and STM have collaborative partnerships with the following universities: University of Wales Institute, Cardiff; University of East London; University of Sunderland. Through these collaborations, students have the opportunity to study towards a degree from one of the above universities in the heart of London at LSC or STM.

Studying at LSC and STM is designed to equip students with lasting, all-round skills to meet the demands of a rapidly growing and changing world. Students at LSC and STM come from many countries and studying here is an experience in itself.

Academic strengths
LSC and STM aim to provide students with a professional, service-oriented environment from which their academic studies are supported. LSC and STM are committed to ensuring each student achieves their full potential before graduating, so that they become effective and efficient future business leaders.

Each course has been allocated with an experienced and dedicated course administrator who monitors individual progress throughout the year. The academic staff bring with them a mix of experience in both business and academia. Many lecturers are working professionals and bring hands-on experience that proves to be invaluable to the learning curve of students.

International students are attracted to personal attention and accelerated frames of study at an undergraduate level which means students can achieve an honours degree in two years, instead of the usual three.

Facilities
LSC and STM’s primary campus is located at London Bridge. Lecture rooms are equipped with modern teaching amenities and the computer labs house Pentium-based terminals where students have free access to internet and email facilities.

The School library is fully automated and displays reference and loan material for students to access. The School also arranges for students to have access to major London libraries on a reference basis.

Student life
Alumni always say one of the most memorable experiences of studying at LSC and STM was being able to travel to various European cities on the fun-filled adventure trips organised by the School’s welfare officer. Apart from these three trips abroad each year, students can also get involved on a weekly basis with the social, cultural and sporting activities that take place within the College.

The central city location of the School means students can access London’s shopping and entertainment districts within minutes, as well as many of London’s famous landmarks such as Tower Bridge, Tower Hill, Westminster, the London Eye, and the Tate Britain and Tate Modern art galleries.
