I am thinking of attending the make up school but I wonder how is it possible to find a job as make up artist. I went through many job posting and hardly found anything about needed make up artists. Is woring in near beauty salon is all what inexpirienced artists start from? Please, tell me if you have expirienced that already. Tell me your story!

anyway...whatever school you are going to attend should teach you how to find jobs...and a lot of them have job placements. it takes a lot of self promotion and stuff like that.

I'm planning to go to make up school and I've been searching online with different schools. I noticed they all have different amount of hours as of learning. I was wondering if it matters how many hours you complete in makeup school. (It's confusing, I hope you understand) Thanks.
Each school is different. I know that with the esthetician course in the city I live in, its about 600 hours makeup time, plus the schooling. All in all, it comes out to be about 6 months of school.
I'm trying to find good quality but in the same way cheaper make up school for cinema, tv, theatre.

I wear some brown eyeliner everyday to school [no make up allowed] and recently I was told off for wearing it LOL. Are there any good techniques for applying eyeliner, so it doesnt look like you have any on? Thanks in advance.
There is a technique called Tight lining that you could use. It involves using your liner on your lashline, actually in between the lashes instead of over or under them. It will give you the appearance of a thicker lash base and more defined eyes without it appearing obvious to people you have it on. Look up tightlining on youtube or Makeupalley (on the boards) for some good tips, but basically practice makes perfect. Just dot/draw the liner in between the lashes and wipe off anything that gets on the waterline or above/below the lashes until you perfect it.
