I want to learn to surf, and am unsure which beach to go to. There are many surf schools on different beaches, and I want to choose one which is suitable for beginners.
I like Manly Beach in Sydney, but its swell heights are typically more than 2ft. What would be the highest swell that a beginner could still comfortably learn on?
You want to know which surf school is suitable for beginners? *rolls eyes*
As said before, any beach break with small, crumbly waves is your best bet. As a beginner you shouldn't go out in anything bigger than 3 foot, but your surf instructor should be teaching you in a safe place to surf. All the beaches around Sydney are relatively safe and the surf schools are high quality, so all you need to do is suss out the best prices/availability and get on it!
When you think you're starting to grab the major concepts of surfing and don't want any more lessons, you might want to buy your own board (look through resolved answers to find some good information on buying your first board). Before you venture out on your own however, make sure you're gaining some skill at reading the surf (identifying rips etc) and don't go out over your limits.
Sydney swell isn't "typically more than 2ft", don't know where you heard that from. It's always variable with different locations around Sydney coping differently with different swell directions/winds. Keep up to date by looking at swellnet.

There is this guy named Daniel (15)who is my boyfriend. he fell in love with me. but he goes to a different school. i only see him about every other week one time. he is really good to me. hes silly sweet and funny. hes not into sex, drugs, alcohol, manly anything bad. he has brown flippy hair which i love. except he is kinda picky. like he always has to make sure his hair is in order so that kinda bothers. he has brown eyes. 5'9. 8 pack. a lil acney but its alright. straight white teeth. and he gives me kisses that are so amazeing. scater looking, he is french, white, mexican, lil black, likes to do somethings, has lots of cosion. gets worried a lot, not a jealous type tho
then we have Cameron (16)who is a guy that likes me a lot and i like him aswell. he goes to my school. i see him everyday. he lives down the block from me. he is really funny and silly but a little quiet at times. he as well isnt into sex, drugs, ect. he has bouncy curly wavy flippy hair, soft cute. he lets me mess around with it. he has bright blue eyes. whitch i adore! he is 5'8. 6pack. flolless looking skin. white teeth but a lil cricked on the bottom but still super strait. looks like a jock. football player, surf border, (from moai) hes white, not sure what else. likes to have fun go camping. crazy silly, gets jelious but still cute.

problem is Daniel is in love with me so it feels like i HAVE to be with him or else im going to brake his heart. but then again i want to be with him bc he is so good to me. but then again i never get to see him bc he live 28 miles away n we dont drive yet. n my mom isnt going to drive me down there bc its so far and bc of gas.
Then we have cameron who i see everyday and he likes me and he is really cute. we are a good cupple

ps sorry its SO long! :) thankyou tho.
Well when i was 15 i had boy problems and so does my daughter but what i told my daughter to do is look him straight in the eye say "i like you" and walk away and know my dughter is dating the hotest guy in the entire school
Lets see im 18 years old. Had a gf once and it only lasted about a week. I'm quite around girls and I become really shy around girls. I skimboard at the beach a lot and soon ill be doing surfing. Ppl tell me im metro lookin or some ask me if im gay. Because I wear a lot of HCO and some Abercombie. I'm really nice to girls and polite. I realized not so long ago im metro looking guy and I should just get over it. I always wished to get any amazing looking gf with awesome personality but with my sense of style im thinking that girls might turn down by me being metro or not manly enough for them. Sometime after High school is over ill start going to the clubs to have fun. I don't do drugs or drink. Maybe ill find myself a gf. I work, I go to school and I skimboard. Thats all i do in my life and occasionally spend money on cloth to look good. I dont party.
