What are the advantages of taking Marketing in high school?

I'm debating if I should take it next year, my sophomore year, so I can work at the school store as a junior. Do you think it would help me get a job later, or not make a difference? But I also am thinking about a fine arts credit. What do you think I should do? Any good/bad experiences from a high school marketing class?

Thank you :)

Marketing skills & knowledge can be a good asset in most any career you go into. Most all businesses "market" or sell their products or services in some fashion and having good "selling skills" can make you more successful, whether you are selling a product or just "selling" your ideas to others.

It's most likely that you will be getting a part time job well before you finish college & embark on a career. Those jobs will, most likely, be in a restaurant, retail store, or similar places. Having had experience working in the school store where you deal with customers, make change, stock the shelves, etc. can certainly make it easier to get a job later - especially if you're competing with others who lack that experience.

What will I learn in a high school marketing class?

I'll be a senior in high school next year and have an opportunity to take a marketing class. I don't know what this entails and I'm not sure if it'll be beneficial to me or not. The career I'm going to be pursuing is Nursing. Does anyone know how beneficial, if any, this class would be to me?

if you decide to go into marketing, you'll already know about it.

What credentials do I need to teach High School Marketing or Tech class in Indiana?

I have a Bachelor's degree in Advertising/Public Relations. I'd like to go back to school so I can teach High School Marketing/Business/Technology in Indiana. Where do I start? Do I need to get a Master's in Education? Or another Bachelor's Degree? How many credits do I need?

I am in the same boat. I have a degree in biology and am currently back at Indiana State getting by teaching degree (biology and physics). You need to go back to get a teaching degree, but since you have much of the core (content area) curricula done it won't take you very long, you will mainly have to take the education classes. Also Indiana State offers the Transition to Teaching program which is an accelerated 18 month program to obtain your teaching license. To participate in the T to T program you have to have graduated with a 3.0 GPA or have worked in your area of study for 5 years or more.

St. Marys of the Woods college also has a pretty good (and fast) teaching licensure program. My sister in law went there.

You may need other content area classes (I'm not sure what all the requirement are for your area, I just know the science ed. requirements).

Hope this helps and gets you started.

What is "The 7 Figure Marketing School?" Reviews?

I have seen a lot of people promoting this website. Why should I want to join " The 7 Figure Marketing School" ? It looks like an awesome tool to have to learn how to grow whatever business you are in...

I am going to do the 7 day trial... Let me know your thoughts if you are a member. It sounds great but I'd like some feedback from current members..

Maxwell,
I was a member of the 7 figure marketing school before it launched and all I can say is that it has helped me immensely as a marketer.

This website teaches marketing strategies and the proper mindset to explode any business whether online or offline. Some of biggest names in the industry have affiliated themselves with this school. The offer a 7 day trail and they have a crazy special off going on right now. Check it out:

To your success

Is there any evidence that 7 figure marketing school is a scam?

I realise this school is a new phenomenon. I am encouraged by the testimonials and the well recognised coaches they boast about. I am not so clear as to what is the total outlay. I see the well regarded Roger M thinks it is a scam and wonder what evidence/reason he is basing this on. I am not expecting some miracle for nothing but in this time of fear based economic tension I tread carefully.

This is quite a long answer but you should definitely read. I have been very interested in this marketing school recently. I will let you know what my findings have been so far. As you will be well aware, very little information is given away until after you sign up. However, I understand that you get two main benefits from signing up. The first being the "Amazing, groundbreaking etc" training that they provide you with. The second is that you get the tools to refer people to the school. For every sign up that comes from your link, you get 50% of the commission, which sounds very promising and almost had me hooked. Now, THE CONS:

- Don't ever buy into the hype. Who says that these people are experts? Anybody can say that they are an internet guru. Research what other companies they have been involved with.

- Don't be bought into testimonials. It is the easiest thing in the world to make up testimonials. I bet that only a tiny percentage of testimonials on the internet are real. There is no evidence that these are real people, they could just be family and friends.

- If this programme is as good as it says, there should be thousands of people signed up to it. This means that there are loads of people competing for the same leads. If they are as good as they say they are, they would have answered your question on here.

- I could not find any terms and conditions? If you want to opt out, do you still have to carry on paying the $67 a month?

- I have looked on youtube. They have a few testimonials and a couple of not very good videos telling you how amazing the school is. Problem is, they are not even at the top of the youtube listings when you search for 7 figure marketing school. This suggests that they are not that good otherwise surely they would be at the top?

- When you search for the school on google, you realise that there are actually only a handful of people that are actually involved and I have my suspiscions that these are mainly the people that created it in the first place.

PROS - I could not find a bad word about the school anywhere on the internet. However, this is very strange as people will always have some negative feedback.

My conclusion is that if it was as good as it says, everybody would be doing it. The principle sounds very sound (refer sign ups and get a %) but they don't tell you what you get and how you are going to attract. My research has led me to believe that they have hardly any sign ups so far becasue there is very little information on the internet apart from pieces by the owners. If it was good and was working, there would be artciles everywhere.

I am talking to a couple of people "in" the school but they very rarely get back to me and there answers are very vague and scripted

If you have any more information, I would be interested. And if the school is as good as they say, somebody will see this post and correct me.

  • Fashion Marketing Schools in California – Is Marketing in the ...

Many people dream of attending fashion marketing schools. In California there are many schools that an aspiring fashion designer or fashion entrepreneur can choose to attend to learn their stuff, if they know where to start looking and if their head is in the right place. Many people think that anybody can afford to go to and get into any of the fashion marketing schools in California, but that is not true.

In essence, the fashion industry is a great deal like the art industry, and art students need to do more than breathe and have a heartbeat to get into art school, don’t they? Even so, if anybody could get into fashion marketing schools, there would be a good many failures and drop-outs as the industry is simply not for everyone.

How to Know If California is Right for You

It is not just fashion marketing schools that must be considered but also whether or not the location is right. California is certainly a beautiful state, but it is also jammed full of people, cars, and smog; that paints a pretty nasty picture but anybody who has ever been to California should know that things are quite to the contrary.
