Dental Assisting program at Medix School in Scarborough?

Does anyone have any feedback/opinion about the above program/school? I am looking for unbiased and independent feedback, so if you work for Medix, please do not respond.

I hear that it is a great school except that it is not as "hands on" as other schools.

I picked a different school that is more hands on and it really makes a difference.

Medix School


Does anyone have an opinion about Medix School (now called Medix College) in Smyrna, Georgia?

I am considering a career change; I am interested in the Medical Assistant program offered at MEDIX. Does Medix provide a quality education/strong training for this career? Thoughts, suggestions or advice ? Thank you

I went to a MEDIX school in kitchener Ontario, Don't waste your time or money! It was a joke. I was misled. The people who bring students into the school work off commission. I took pharmacy tech. Had 7 different teachers in a 2 and a half month period. The teachers do not need to go to a teaching college, they just have to have job experience in the field. Our one teacher worked as a pharmacy tech. for a week before applying for the teaching job! We were being taught out dated information, that was when we were taught on the subject of Pharmacy tech. We did alot of word searches class plays, time management, communications in the 2 and half months that I was there! It was not worth the money! I would look into going to a regular college and spending the money there. Most companies will hire someone from a regular college compared to a private one!!!!

    Meet at or around the the same time of day/week as much as possible. Preparation is always crucial, even before the session starts. Be certain that you’ve covered all specified reading. Look over the the themese to be studied during that day’s session. Going with no basic understanding will just waste your and the group’s time. Everybody in your group should be able to bring something to the study group. If all of your study meetings are conducted with only one member leading the study session in all the meetings, then perhaps you should hire a tutor. When you take on a teaching role in the group, you should underscore what you have studied and, obviously, it will help the whole group. Nancy Haverford started her educational by coaching hundreds of high school students from Medix School about how to succeed at college in various US scholastic environments. She has also provided tips and tricks on looking for college admission essay samples, particularly for those high school students who need to produce excellent college admissions essays to hopefully outshine average grades prior to university.
