Does anybody know good architecture school in New York? Why do you like that school? What about these school? New York City College of Technology (City Tech) or NYIT or The City College of New York?
I would say look to get into one of the top 2 in NY or if you are willing to relocate go for one of the top ten in the nation bacause employers look at that when they hire new architects. Good luck.

well i go to a cuminity college in southern california and i want to transfer to a good architectural school. i was looking into going to cal poly but that would mean that i would have to be away from my girlfriend and so i found the new school of architecture and design. is it a good school??? that all i want to know
Is the name of the school "New School" or did you omit it?
a higher ed institution in the US can have 3 institutional accreditation statuses.
1. Regionally accredited - the highest and most useful.
2. Nationally accredited - real, but not as recognized or useful. Yes it is less than regional accreditation, which isn't intuitive.
3. Unaccredited

I will be submitting my portfolio to Parsons here very soon. I have to share 8-10 photos, drawings, or paintings. Except I am a little confused ..... When they say "photography" do they mean photos that i took of other peoples architectural work? And do I send my actual drawings? Or do i revise in CAD? If there are some fellow arch. students or graduates, could you please give me some info + advise? Thanks in advance! :D

so you want your work as portfolio, drawings, photos, and other art you have done in general, that may help for this resume portfolio, the term for photograph appears to related to photo of your projects, if you have drawing of design on wall , or too large for 9" x 12" case, then you take a photo of that, and place in portfolio if need, or if you designed a building and it was built and you took a photo of that building, with drawing, that would be ok, or if you designed a small model as project, a photo of that would be used,

This new school opened in 2008 went through lot of initial trouble. Is it now fully functional and has all the staff?

Minimalist Architecture and Great Architecture: A new school hall ...
The St Joseph’s Primary School hall and library were built with the Australian Federal Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER) economic stimulus package funding. The government outlined two main objectives for the BER funding, to provide economic stimulus through the rapid construction and refurbishment of school infrastructure and to build learning environments to help children, families and communities participate in activities that will support achievement, develop learning potential and bring communities together. For primary schools, the government outlined that the funding was for the building or renewing of large-scale infrastructure works with the priority on libraries, multi-purposes halls and classrooms. The school’s library and canteen were cramped and outdated. There was no school hall and the school lacked street presence with many local residents being unaware of its existence. The school wanted to address all of these issues with their BER funding allocation of $850,000 (total project cost including all consultant and approval fees, furniture for hall and library, electronic equipment and canteen appliance fit-out) while still achieving a high quality outcome and dynamic learning spaces.
