When kids get out of high school they go to work building roads and bridges. Instead of leaning on their shovels they read and study textbooks. After 3 years they are tested. If they pass their course of choice they leave the road/bridge crew and are replaced with new high school grads. This way we get our new roads and bridges, they get an education and everyone is happy.
This idea sounds like something that is forced. The draft was forced and it was not a good thing. What about the kids that do want to go to college right out of high school? Now if it was voluntary, then it would be a good thing.
Me and some friends are really interested in going on a road trip during high school, we live in Oklahoma City and going to Dallas for a concert or something is just lame... I have some friends who just moved this year from California so they might know their way around L.A. and such, but does anyone have any amazing road trip stories or ideas for a few high schoolers in search of life-long memories and crazy experiences?
Were on a budget obviously, I'm getting a job and I'll probably be able to save a couple hundred up. but nothing crazy expensive.

Reser Road School Safety Improvements | KEPR CBS 19 - News ...
The plan is to add sidewalks, signs and bridge improvements on Reser Road between Prospect Elementary and Walla Walla High.
Right now, kids are forced to walk on the side of the road. That’s a really tight squeeze on the small bridge, especially with ice and snow.
A parents' group, Safe Travel Alliance, formed after the kids were hit. Katie Christianson is a member.
"Part of the grant award required a component of community support. and it is unfortunate that it required children getting hurt to garner that awareness and support, but we're very pleased that we have the awareness and support now,” said Christianson.
Part of the improvements will be paid for with a grant. The state ranked the Reser Road project as fifth among all the applications it got.
