San Gabriel High School

I am an 8th grader applying for Alhambra High School, California but I'm having second thoughts about going to this high school. My two sisters are in AHS and I was thinking of attending with them but there are some people in the school that I don't really like.

Should I go to Alhambra High or San Gabriel High school? If you know about San Gabriel High, can you please let me know what it is like in that school? thanks

If you feel that SGHS would be a better place for you to attend school, then do so. But Alhambra High is a pretty big school too; there are chances that you won't ever meet these ppl that you don't like and make friends with new ppl you've never seen before. It all depends on what you want.

In my personal opinion, I think that SGHS is growing in it's reputation as a good high school, with it's recent facilities development and increasing numbers of known student organizations. I don't know what the school itself is like because I went to Temple City High School, but I've had a lot of friends go there, graduate, and end up in good colleges.

Otherwise, I can't help you much there, sorry. Good luck on picking schools though.

I'm currently on the waiting list for San Gabriel High School.
I'm a freshman. I sent an e-mail to my guidance counselor on March 30, and had a meeting with her on August 12. She put my name on the waiting list for the classes I wanted to changed (Spanish & Piano, which were full).

Is there a chance I'll get what I'll want? ):
If so, how good of a chance?

*I'll get my schedule on August 28.
*School starts on September 9.

Yeah, most likely since you already had a meeting with your guidance counselor. If you do end up getting your schedule on August 28, then you going to San Gabriel is set in stone.

I'm pretty sure 9th. I have some friends that go there and i'm pretty sure they started in freshman year.

I believe that in California you can attend any School as long as they have room for extra students. You'll have to call the school to find out for sure.
