What aspects of school climate need to be fostered in order to create a safe enviroment where issues of vulnerability are addressed?
This one should, assuming you are in school, be relatively easy to answer. What are some of the ways you or those around you feel vulnerable? If you don't go to one, imagine that tomorrow you are being transferred to an inner city school in a high crime area. What would you fear?
Examples: physical violence, racial tension, bullying, sexual harassment, mocking.
In what ways do each interfere with a student's ability to learn? What can be done to reduce the risk of each to produce a safer environment?

I need some help! I need to come up with a paragraph each on 2 ideas that i could do i school to stop climate change/global warming.. i can think of turn off the lights, turn down the heating e.t.c but i cant do those things in school it must be something i can do to help it myself. Any ideas?
thankss :)
Burn the environmentalist textbooks for fuel, and get the environmentalists to hold their breath.
There are so many. . . Externally, you have the political climate and the use of education as a political football, the economy, changes in the makeup of the neighborhood due to job displacement, etc.
Internally, I have come to believe over the years that a visionary principal can make a huge difference by getting everyone pulling together toward the same goals. Excellence demonstrated and celebrated in ANY area can become contagious. Also the physical plant and its upkeep and staff stability or turnover rates have a great impact. Any sort of trauma (death or severe accidents or illnesses) among the staff or students will have a very different impact depending on the organizational response.
I'm putting together a Multiple Text Resource. I need to know what book, that has to do with climate change or just weather in general, a high school student might pick up and find interesting.
My unit of study is titled: Weather, Climate & Climate Change.
I am also interested in any other resources that have to do with Earth Science.
Thanks!
One of my classmates is doing Physics. She is using A Wrinkle in Time.
These books don't have to be ABOUT climate change, but should loosely reference it.
Thanks!
I don't know of any books for high schoolers, on global worming.
I would just sugest to you the catch all wikipedia; their articals are from multiple sources & are a decent start, if you can use that kind of content.

I have this school project on GLOBAL WARMING and CLIMATE CHANGE.
I want to be original and get a good grade. This project has to consist of a chart. Any ideas?
Reasearch both sides of the question. Global Warming (GW) is not a fact, butr a theory. There are ideas and conjecture on both sides of the issue.
Make your chart showing the life span of the earth - say 100,000,000 years, and you will see that the earth has warmed and cooled many times in that period.
Read books/articles by a variety of politicians (both liberal and conservative) and scientists, (ditto) and you will find there is not measurable real evidence of climate change. Why, I could not stop the rain coming last weekend, how come I could make it get warmer in 10 years??
National Geographic has good webpages.
