School Curriculum

what kind of high school curriculum do you use? you have to be in highschool, 10-12 grade. how long do you spend a day on it? do you do it on the computer, workbooks, both, what?
I really need to know how long you spend a day on it, what you do it on, and what its called, and how much is it? thanks!!!1

I use teaching Textbooks for math, (that's on the computer), but that about a $100 curriculum.
I use BJU World History, that's a textbook I borrowed for the year from a friend.
My mom got me 'Reading Between the Lines: A Christian Guide to Literature' for my literature. That was about $13 on Amazon.
For Science I'm doing Switched on School House Biology. I'm not sure how much that was.
For reading, I just got a bunch of the classics from the Library, read them, got a study guide and answered all the questions about them. That was REALLY nice! And Free!
I do Chem. Lab with two friends, that's free because he bought the book and we get together to do the Science experiments.

You should look at your local library, you can find science books, literature books, and lots of other resources. In fact, you can get your whole homeschooling curriculum from the library if you look hard enough and think hard enough. This year I'm sophomore, but I plan on doing a lot of the same curriculum next year.
I spend about an hour in each subjects, so about 5-6 hours on my schooling a day.
I basically just read everything, I only take tests in Math. But as long as I score high on the SATs, I'm fine.

Although I am currently on a track to law school, I've recently become interested in psychiatry. I have one problem though; I've never enjoyed science. I would rather take philosophy or sociology over biology or anatomy any day. My question is: what classes are part of the med school curriculum? I'm trying to decide if I can live through med school anyway.

The first two years are called "basic sciences", if that gives you a hint. It covers biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, histology, and then in depth scientific looks at every organ or every system in the body (nervous, digestive, ect). After that, you do rotations where you are practically applying the science. I don't think med school is for you if you don't like science. Consider maybe pschology PhDs.

I am thinking of starting a nonprofit organization to promote social welfare by getting critical thinking incorporated in the public school system. Is there any teachers or principles that have knowledge on this subject? Also, how to go about challenging the legal curriculum requirements?

I would like to know where to buy curriculum for homeschooling a middle school student. I prefer Not to buy online. I want to go into a store and look at what they have. Any stores in San Jose or surrounding areas that have curriculum?

It isn't fair that people get two points just for fake-answering. :(
Anyway, did you ask a local homeschool support group, like the one listed below (free scholars)?
One place to try is Learning Rainbow. I'll list their website below free scholars. They're going to be having a teacher's "flea market" where you can check out used curriculum! Morrison School Supplies is supposed to have a bit of everything, also. Maybe this would give you a start. I went under Google and typed in San Jose CA and teacher supply and homeschool. Those are only a couple that showed up. Looks like you have quite a lot available in your area.

Oh, and I hope you'll take advantage of local places, such as your zoo! I bet you they offer homeschool programs.
