Is it normal in for a high school health class to not mention same sex relationships?

In our school, "Health" is the name for a class we all have to take in which we learn about body development, drugs, alcohol, sexual harassment and relationships. Our teacher always talks about your typical boy and girl relationships and safe sex, but i've never heard anything about other kinds of relationships. Even though our school has its own LGBT, would it be unreasonable to ask the teacher to include information vital to the health of all students, both gay and straight? Or should I just ask LGBT to host their own class?

ask the teacher, they should have no problem talking about it, but the students on the other hand will respond immaturely to the teachings, based on my experence.

Should middle school health clinics provide birth control pills to students?

The health clinic at a Maine middle school caused an uproar by planning to prescribe and distribute the birth control pill to students who request it.

What do you think?

I think it should be against the law, how can a child recieve presciption medication w/o the a parent(s) consent. They are still minors

Can I opt out of all school health check ups and vaccinations?

I do not want my daughter weighed, measured or otherwise checked by anyone ever without me being present. I know schools have health check ups and I want to withdraw my child from this. Likewise I do not want her to receive any vaccinations at school as our family doctor will administer all required vaccinations.

Can I refuse to allow her to participate in these checks.

Write to the school saying you expressly forbid them to do any of the things you are not happy with, without your being present. You do not have to give a reason. You could get your family doctor to countersign your letter which would demonstrate that you are assuming responsibility for anything that needs doing.

Of course, they may think you have something to hide, but similar affronts are photographing your child without your permission (which is for their records not for you to display on your piano).

what do i major in to become a high school health teacher and basketball coach?

what are the steps i need to do after i complete college as well? what do i major in exactly. i want to become a high school health teacher and also coach the basketball team there.

well the high school i am does not require anythihg for coaching basketball. You have to work at the school. So maybe get the degree in the health, and just say you want to coach basketball. I do not believe any of the coaches in my school have a degree for the team. Only one has all of his college stuff for lifting weights and everything properly. But otherwise that is it.

for my high school health class: how much do treatments for chlamydia and HPV cost?

my high school health class has assigned a paper and i need to know how much treatments for chlamydia and HPV cost for it. please help! thank you!

Well chlamydia is "cheaper" than HPV. With chlamydia you take an antibiotic and your home free. But there is info out there that says chlamydia is becoming antibiotic resistant so it is starting to get more expensive. As for HPV, there are more emotional scars. That is a virus so its with you the rest of your life. I hope this helps.
