I know Englands already (Cause i live and school there) but is it different in America?
Ive been told we have roughly the same time off but its just spred out more in England :)
The types of holidays are different. There is no presidents day or Thanksgiving in England./

I can tell you the exact dates as I work as a nurse in an Independent School term times only. Its from Fri 17th Oct till Sun 26th Oct. The State schools are from Mon 27th till Fri 31st. Having said that, this is in Harrow, Middlesex, UK. I am pretty sure the rest of the country would generally be the same.

...the holidays started in late June. Do English kids get longer holidays at Easter and Christmas?
Children are required to attend school for a minimum of 190 days a year, teachers attend for an additional 5 for training purposes.
Generally the holidays are organised like this:
6 weeks summer holiday
2 weeks Easter
2 weeks Christmas
3X1 week mid term
It depends on what school they go to, my one is in Essex, near London and we finish 6th - 12th
