Do you know any sites who give schools new playground equipment for free if you send them pictures of yours?

My good friend is running for student body president and we want to make the school more enjoyable with new playground equipment... but we don't have the money for that so we need a grant!!

I don't know of any sites that would do that, but maybe you could contact local businesses and see if they would 'sponsor' the equipment. Maybe get advertising in return?

Can you share some Ideas on how to raise funds for playground equipment for an elementary school?

Try a car wash, that always seems to work well when I do it for different fundraisers...

A word of advice, do it as a "donation" thing - don't charge a flat rate - you'll get more people...trust me!

Need to raise 100,000 for new school playground need ideas?

Looking to raise money for a new school playground. This will also be used by the whole community as the town playground. The current playground has flooding during the spring and the equipment is unsafe. All the work is being done by volunteers but the sod and pea gravel and playground equipment along with a new drainage system will be around 100,000. The community has been donating all it can, but we need other sources. Any ideas out there?

Hold a play-a-thon for the community, both adults and children. Organize games such as tag, hide and seek, capture the flag, dodgeball...you know...children's games from our playground days. Have the community pay or pledge to participate and have groups selling drinks and baked goods on the side to raise even more money. Companies could even pay to sponsor some of the games.

Good luck!

What do parks or schools do with playground equipment when they get new stuff?

I'm looking to redo the playground at my Church and $$ is an issue. I'm looking for a merry go round and was wondering what schools and parks do with their used stuff

They do a couple of different things. The first concern is that the used equipment does not meet current ASTM safety standards. If that's the case, they will scrap it. Another route is an organization called Kids Around the World (www.kidsaroundtheworld.com) They are a charitable organization that takes used equipment and create playgrounds in other countries.

I need ideas for a fund raiser to get playground equipment for our small school.?

This is a school for special need young children

I think a easy small thing to do is to sell t-shirts.

Make it even more fun my buy a ton of white Haynes shirts, and some pillow cases and white hanker chiefs, socks and have Tye dying sale..sell them item and then charge for each color.
It would be GREAT if you could get products that say your school's name on it!

the shirt for example can be sold for ten bucks and the first color is free. Each extra color can be 50 cents to 1.00.

You could also do a movie/pizza babysitting night. Get a bunch of high school kids that need to do community service- get parent/ teacher volunteers and a room or two in the school. "babysit" the kids for 10 bucks per child and give parents 3 hours to go out and enjoy dinner on their own! I know I would pay it and it is easy.

  • Modern School Playground Equipment

These days the school playground requires more than just an area for the children to run about it, the environment of play needs to create stimulus in the mind of children and to keep them active and agile.  Modern school playground equipment does just that, it gives the child the chance to explore and to use their imagination.

In years gone by it looked as though little thought went into the design of children’s play equipment , who can remember cold hard metal surfaces on climbing frames and swings that were uncomfortable.  Thankfully these days are gone and the modern school playground is full of colour, eco material and stimulating.

Thankfully all age ranges of children can get the benefit out of the modern school playground, from foundation years to key stage.  Plus there is a wide range of sporting equipment that any school will want for their pupils.  It is easy to understand that not all schools have the budget for new playground design; however finding funds is not too difficult.
