School Safety

Why is school safety such a huge deal. Why is it no longer safe to attend school, a place that is labeled as a "safe working environment"
we've had 2 bomb threats, people found with weapons, and drug dogs come into our school, along with cops!
why should i be forced into jeapordising my life? hardly any one graduated on time in my school anyways, if your not held back you drop out or your pregnant or you die!
why should i have to remain in such a terrible environment when i could make it just fine in the real world?

It is really stupid. Someone at my middle school brought a knife to school and threatened my friend. Some people say God has abandoned the world, but they don't even allow prayer in schools. We have pushed God away and now bad things are going to happen.

I am a H.S senior from Illinois with a GPA of 3.1 and an ACT of 22. I am doing my college search this entire summer and would like some opinions on what colleges/universities i have a good chance of getting into with my gpa and act. I need opinions on what schools i should put on my "safety school" list. Thanks in advance!
Would i have a tough time getting into Purdue, being an out-of-state student with only a 22 on the ACT?

My SAT score is 2200, my ACT score is 33, my GPA is 4.0, and I am the Valedictorian of a small class of 50. I am interested in studying English or science at Penn, Dartmouth, Brown, or Princeton, but all of these are pretty tough to get into. What would be a good safety school for me to apply to?

In that same region of the US, I'd have you look at Tufts, Brandeis, Wesleyan U, and if you like it, BC.

In addition, as a real safety school, you may want to consider applying to the best public university in your home state (like UMass Amherst, UConn, etc.) You'd very likely get in, and they may offer you a very sweet deal.

Next season when i'm a junior, i want to play football for my 1A school. I'm 6' 150 ibs. and i bench 120. I play lacrosse and soccer but i want to play football now. I used to play in elementry school. I want to play safety and maybe some WR. My goal for the summer is to wiegh 170 and bench 160. How would i be?

Football is an odd game. Don't get me wrong size helps but at the high school level the kids that do well are really the kids who play hard and tackle well. I wouldn't try to gain a lot of weight just lift hard and it will come. Safety is a difficult position being that you have to cover a lott of ground on pass plays and a good safety will come up so hard that they make tackles at almost linebacker depth. Only time will tell my man practice hard in the off season at catching balls and learn some basic coverage schemes, then go out there and play hard and see whats happens.
