At school skirts are getting too short and now my school has decided to make us wear their skirts or trousers, Is it acceptable ? Enjoy .

I want to know how i can sort out my school skirt. I'm quite small so any size skirt i get is too long. I roll my school skirt up once (just above the knee) but it flares out at the end. Is there any way to stop this? Its not pleated, its meant to be a straight skirt, but only it never stays straight.
Its part of a uniform and expensive so i can't buy a smaller size (parents want me to 'grow into' the skirt thats why its a bigger size)
And no i'm not a slut so please don't write horrible things :)

Rolling it up at the waist distorts the line of the skirt. You need to hem it, or have it done for you at an alterations store. Tell her not to cut too much of it off before she hems it, in case you want to lower the hem later. The lady in alterations store can also fit it to your size if you need it taken in a little. Just tell her not to cut the material too much so you can let it out later. The price of alterations would be worth it for the skirt to look good on you, and will cost less than the price of a new uniform each year.

Me and lots of my mates get their skirts shorter by rolling the top over. My mum doesn't like me doing this because there are so many boys at our school. I say that it doesn't matter and looks cooler. What do you think?

Your mom doesn't like it probably because she knows that boys are perverted ^^ But, you are in control of what you do and I don't know how high you hike your skirt up, so I'm not going to judge you and call it skanky. Sure it's a little pointless, as you all look the same to begin with ... but people do those sort of things when all their friends do it too.

When I was in school, everyone thought it was cool to steal cigarettes from the teachers and hide them in our shirt sleeves for lunch. I'm still hooked ;) Too bad I wasn't too busy hiking my skirt up to be stealing cigs

Recently after giving one of my girls a panty spanking for misbehavior in school, I am thinking my girls are one of the few to wear panties under their skirts? Should I make my daughters wear shorts under their school skirts?

I'm 19 and have seen friends get out of this sorta stuff back in HS. U make them wear something they really dislike enough to do something about it, and the school doesn't have rules about it, then they will take off the shorts as soon as they get into school bathroom. (Ever see teen movies where the kids are totally different once they get to class? That stuff really happens)
Remember to be authoritative but also understanding and loving. Without love there's not a cause other then fear. (not that u should be a mushy let-them-do-whatever-they-want mom like so many are these days) Love also means doing what's best for them even if they don't like u for it at the moment. And It's harder for some to understand that you're just trying to help, not pester and be a control freak when they're young. May be you can talk about it with them and come to a compromise. :) Grab their fave snack and explain your why you're worried about this, may be you'll brainstorm for a solution. If they're short shorts, then may be there's some cool jeans or something they can pick out to go with them. Or stalkings. Dunno. Was never the clothing expert. :P

I live in england and I'm going to a private school next year where you have to wear uniform and my school skirts have always looked awkward on me. Are there any places where I can buy nice grey ones? I know quiz and rebel rebel do some, but anywhere else? Thanks!

Loads of shops sell these kinds of skirts but its just trying to find the right one! I was in the same situation was starting a private school and thought all the girls would be perfect! Erm... new look is good. International is realy good for things like that as it is a young and girly shop. Also select sometimes sell quite smart clothes. I got mine from New Look. I would recomend New look but sometimes doesnt have a wide selection on smart skirts. Things like school skirts are the kind of clothers you've got to shop around for until you find the right one which looks good on you!
