how old do u have to be to go to a singing school

There are different levels of music schools.

Most music academies or voice studios don't take voice students until they are at least 14. Some at 16. Voice teachers don't like tampering with an underdeveloped instrument. Technique too early can do more damage to the young voice than good.

In order to study in depth, you would attend a university/conservatory. At this age, the youngest you would start is 18. This form of training is more intense and involves more text work.

For those 14 and under, singing with a choir or singing group is training. You learn basic music tips and get experience with singing in front of a crowd. That is plenty and is great fun on top of it!

TV movie about a girl that goes to a singing school where she sings a variation of Carmen?

This has been bothering me for awhile now. It was a television movie about a blonde girl from a small town that got accepted into a singing school where she had to sing Carmen. It also featured the song Stronger a lot and it is NOT Raise Your Voice with Hilary Duff, though the lead is also blonde. Heeelp!

Brave New Girl (2004 TV movie)
starring Lindsey Haun, Virginia Madsen, Nick Roth, Jayne Eastwood, Jackie Rosenbaum, Nick Mancuso, Aaron Ashmore
IMDb synopsis:
Holly has everything it takes to be a star: the voice, the dream and the dedication. But, she lacks the means to break away from her humble Texas upbringing. Then she gets the chance to attend an art and music school on the East Coast, and her future suddenly looks bright. However, the road to stardom is a bumpy one. She must compete with the snobby Angela for the star spot, and that's the least of her troubles. Luckily, Holly has the support from her mother and her roommate, Ditz, who prove that being a star has nothing to do with fame and everything to do with faith, family, and friends. The film is inspired by the book "A Mother's Gift" by Britney & Lynne Spears.

It depends what you mean by singing school.
If you are purely interested in singing, then you may as well get a good singing teacher in your area.
If you want to do Musical Theatre then,

But if you want the singing/music industry side, then look here.

There are lots of private Stage/Music Schools, just search them on google. I live in London, so I only really know about London.

Beta Theta Pi Homecoming @ Central Michigan University 2009

if there are requirements to go to a preforming art high school for singing, what are they?

There are the basic requirements that were mentioned before, transcripts that shows your grades. But, you'll need to have some stellar audition pieces. You'll have to display your vocal range and ability. Sing contrasting selections and know the composer, name, period and EVERYTHING about your music when you audition. Yes, there's an audition. You'll probably have to take a music theory exam too.

Neal McCluskey Commentary: Obama gets inflated grade on education reform

Even as President Barack Obama's approval ratings continue to slide, folks of all political persuasions are singing his praises on education -- though he has done little of substance.

In a speech last Wednesday, Obama lamented that "people have seen schools as sort of a political spoil having to do with jobs" and declared that "we are putting our resources behind the kinds of reforms that are going to make a difference."

What "reforms" was he talking about? The ones states are encouraged to make to get part of the $4.35-billion "Race to the Top" Fund, a kitty of stimulus cash controlled by the U.S. secretary of education, for which official guidelines were announced this week.

To compete, the administration has said states must end prohibitions on using student achievement data to evaluate teachers. They should also eliminate caps on charter schools, adopt "internationally benchmarked" curricular standards and prepare to "turn around" bad schools.

Exposing Liberal Lies: Obama Adoration in Our Public Schools

Our public school system has become one huge liberal indoctrination center where our children are not receiving balanced teachings . All you need to do to get a sense of what is taking place inside our school buildings is to read the numerous comments on this blog written by Diogenes, a Colorado public school history teacher. He is representative of the ideology of many of our children's teachers. Of course, there are many fine teachers, but we must wake up to the fact that much more is going on behind closed doors than just the 3 R's . There was some guesswork, but to the best of our ability the videos run from oldest to youngest, starting with high schoolers. We list the name of the school and the date the video was posted. From there, if it could be found (or a confident guess made), you’ll find the schools’ website, followed by the original title given to the video and any notes added by whoever uploaded to YouTube. Raised in a liberal...
