I'm working on a project for my Spanish class about Spain's educational system. So I was wondering if there are any Spanish students that could tell me what is it like going to school there?Do you feel like you're learning something? What courses can you take?Do a lot of people end up graduating from school and on to a university?
If you can understand what I'm saying but feel more comfortable answering in Spanish you can go ahead and do so.
Not sure if it is what you are looking for, but this article may be of some use to you - http://www.tumbit.com/how-to-guides/arti cles/32-registering-your-child-for-state -education-in-spain.html
My daughter has finished her secondary school education in Spain achieving grades from 5 to a maximum 10 , She is intending on returning to the UK to commence a college course which ask for GCSE qualifications , can the Spanish grading be 'translated' in GCSE grades ?
I'm pretty sure that as long as you stay within the European Union, the language and grading system that the GCSE was completed in doesn't matter. To be safe, you should try to find equivalents to the grades. Since the UK has pretty much the same grading scale as the USA, I've been told that my degree that I completed in Spain transfered like this:
10- A+
9- A
8-B
7-C
6-D
5-0 Failure
It would be like if I were to get a master's degree in France but I live in Spain, jobs in Spain would still respect my diploma.
hope this helped:)
do you know any websites who teach Spanish ?

Will he heading to Buenos Aires in February would like to spend some time at a spanish school for a week or so. Would love to hear some of your personal experiences and recommendations.
Thanks.
No school has a one week course, however if you go to Recoleta and go to the visitor's center (tourist information booth in recoleta park) they can tell you places where you can practise your spanish, some youth centers, some pubs or some libraries or museums where they have special events for tourists to practise their spanish.

A Guide To Local Food When You Attend A Spanish School In Chile
When you travel to new destinations, you will find that one of the most memorable aspects of your trip will be the cuisine. Don't be surprised if when you return home you find yourself describing the delicious dishes that you ate in detail to friends and relatives.
Of course, there are lots of good reasons to study Spanish in Chile, including world-class tourist destinations, a gorgeous coastline, cultural activities, and hiking and rock climbing in the Andes. However, the top-notch cuisine in the country is yet another solid reason to choose to travel to Chile and attend Spanish school in Santiago.
Chilean cuisine is actually very unique, as it was not only influenced by Spanish cooking, but also by other cuisines throughout Europe like Germany, Italy, Croatia and France. Even Middle Eastern food influenced Chilean cuisine. Of course, the traditional Chilean ingredients also had a hand in creating the region's food. For example, due to the long coast in Chile, many ocean products are integrated into the food. Salmon is popular as is the world famous Chilean sea bass. Other types of seafood that you will typically see in Chilean food include squid, sole, cod, abalone, prawns, lobster and eel.
