ok well i play tennis and i want school to be nearer where i play tennis but there isn't any near y school. so i was wondering is there a place where you can go to school and play tennis on the same campus and stuff like a nick bolliteri.
All posts! thanks!
;):p:D:)
Heck yes! Just Google (or Yahoo!) "tennis academies" and a ton of them will pop up. If you live in Florida, chances are you'll find one close to where you live, but there are plenty of others that are in other states too. Make sure that you - and your parents - fully check out any place you are thinking of going and have a full understanding of all the costs involved (unfortunately they are quite pricey - upward of $50,000/yr. for full boarding). You are probably better off going to an academy with a name you recognize, like Bolliteri, Evert, Austin or Van Der Meer. There can be a great deal of difference in the quality of education you receive and the competition you will face. Obviously, Bolliteri is probably at the top of the list in terms of playing potential future superstars, but I don't know how difficult it may be to get in.

Is there a high school in Ontario that specializes tennis !!! Please help and thanks !!
Your best bet is to ask your coach if they are running any schools/camps. This serves a couple of purposes, your coach knows that you are interested in getting better and if you do go to their school/camps, they can teach you the exact things that they want you to learn.
The second best thing to do is check the colleges and universities in your area that has tennis. Most of them will be running schools/camps for high school/middle school age campers. This is a great way to meet coaches that coach at the next level. You can ask questions about what it takes to play in college and what you should do to find a good fit.
Finally, if you would like to travel, go on line and check out the colleges/universities that are having schools/camps wherever you want to go. You should be able to find overnight camps in most areas of the country.
Good luck and have fun!!!

I don't like study and i really love tennis and is okay if i just go to tennis school and didn't study then i become a coach or maybe top player , to become top player must we have good education result to sign up like US OPEN?
Not only is that okay, but I would recommend it! Professional sports is a terrific career, and if you are good at tennis then go for it! They don't make you take a test before entering major professional tournaments, so you should be okay there. Just look at Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi, they didn't need "back up plans." Besides, if you are good enough to become a pro, you could play into your 30's and then open a tennis academy in Florida.

Anywhere around Vancouver? I need a tennis school with great feedback so that my daughter can start there when she's 5. Anybody any experience with any of the tennis schools/academies? Thanks.
The old All Canadian Tennis Academy which is now in Burlington and called AceSistema.

But in BC contact Tennis BC and ask them for their recommendations. They would know which academy or school to send her too.

I would go down south if you can afford too. No program in Canada has developed anyone of real significance.

Toddler Tennis to Tennis Champion | Cardio Tennis, Private Tennis ...
Andy Murray started at 3; Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic started at 4; Robin Soderling, Serena Williams and Tomas Berdych started at age 5; Caroline Wozniacki started at 7, Vera Zvonareva started at 6; Roger Federrer started at 8. I could go on but I think you get the point.
Just looking at the list of tennis champions who started out early in the sport, you’ll see that starting young is a common denominator, but is it key? We think it is key for the following reasons:
1. Younger children absorbs information like sponges. Do you notice how quick they are able to imitate what they see or what they hear? Current National Association for Sports and Physical Education (NASPE) guidelines recommend this much daily activity:
at least 30 minutes of adult-led physical activity at least 60 minutes of free playEvery kind of activity is a learning opportunity for toddlers, physically and mentally. Starting them out early in Tennis will help their motor skills and help develop their tennis game! But surely, starting them out young is not the only key to developing champions! None of the champions mentioned above made it just on their own. They had help! Help from their family and their trainers and coaches! But I’m not going to talk about the value of family, I think we all know what that gives to everyone! I want to talk however about introducing your your child to a tennis school. Not everyone has a Toni Nadal, in their family you know.
